Messy code when I use cpanel to extract files

Today after I use cpanel to extract wordpress zip file,I experienced installation errors like this

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /home/******/********/***************/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1408

I checked the code and find something wrong with it,just some messy code there
I have experienced this one time before,so I'm sure it's cpanel's problem
Can anyone tell me a solution for this?It's not convient for me if I upload all the files without compression.
